Horley Local Business Group is part of The Horley and District Chamber of Commerce,
With almost 100 members, The Horley Chamber of Commerce provided a great starting point for our group. There are thousands of local businesses within the 15 mile radius of Horley and most of us would like to sell and buy locally. Habitually most of us step over our local area and travel hundreds of miles each week in order to earn a living. Have you ever stopped to think of all those people in other areas are doing exactly the same thing. All travelling to our towns and villages to do exactly the same jobs.
Announcing The First Horley Business Expo
The 1st Horley Business Expo, held on the 27th April has been heralded as a great success!
Everyone who attended or exhibited agrees that the Expo was a huge success with a steady stream of visitors throughout the day and plenty of leads established. Sponsored by Vines BMW, Mantra Magazines and Oakwood Sports Centre, the event started with a networking Breakfast organised by Surrey Chamber of Commerce and was formally opened by Horley Mayor Simon Marshall at 09:00. There were six Seminars throughout the day and speakers included Veronica Pullen and Dee Blick. The event was closed at 5pm with visitrs still arriving!
Trusted Local Business Scheme
The Trusted Local Business Scheme Is free to join for business group members, provided that they meet the requirements set out by The Chamber of Commerce. Created to promote genuine, local businesses who can be trusted and relied upon, the scheme sends out 15,500 printed directories four times a year to local residents and businesses. The website is heavily promoted and allows customers to read and leave honest reviews on web pages dedicated to each members business..
A Networking Group for individuals, SME's and Corporate Business,
This group offers support and advice to all our members. We provide the opportunity to network in a friendly, informal venue with other local business people ready and willing to do business. Our venues always have tea, coffee and well stocked bars and on more formal occasions a light buffet is usually available.
